What a septic inspection on a McNary property actually covers, and what a failure means. An inspector holding the as-built knows where to dig and what the tank should be. Without it, the inspection covers whatever could be found.

A cracked lid, a missing baffle or a tilted distribution box are components, and replacing them is a normal repair. A field that will not accept a hydraulic load can mean a replacement field, a new soil evaluation and a fresh permit. Insist the report distinguishes the two: that gap is the entire negotiation on a sale.
